Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson is a indie folk and South Soul artist from Memphis, TN.  He regularly charms crowds with his purely Americana flare and authentic sound. "The man's a full show with nothing but a song and a guitar", says Jackson Daily.  A night with Joe is a night of forgetting your problems and drifting into a special world that doesn't seem to exist in the day to day.

Joe grew up with a guitar in his hand, playing on porches, in churches, bars, busking, wherever.  "Music has always been where I find connection, there's something magic about it," Joe said.  It can heal us.

He splits his time between a regular performance schedule and sound design and composition for theatre.  He also works hard to support fellow artist.  He's a part of a Memphis collective of singer-songwriters.

Joe is looking forward to a stripped down acoustic album and expanding his connection and audience.  Expect some regional touring and intimate house shows.  Join the mailing list to keep up to date, or even host an event!
